Kip said that this was the year he would cross catching a sturgeon off his bucket list, so we did just that! Went three for 4 last night and 2 for three this morning when a 50’ish inch fish jumped at the back of the boat and threw the hook. We crossed a wide array of sizes off during our outings. Now Kip only needs a super jumbo!

Had to get Dakota out for one more rip before he headed west for some ducks. We ground it out and managed a 5 pack. 67x28 57 56 70x23 64x23 with a tag Two more gratitude trips to go and that’s a wrap for me. James Smith, brother you got one on me next season for sending such a good dude my way. As always, gratitude is the attitude!

Following a fantastic week of fishing in balmy conditions, we encountered the inevitable arrival of a cold front. As expected, the change in weather made for a tough night with a slow bite. However, in the world of angling, challenges like these are character-building experiences. Undeterred, we persisted, adjusting our tactics by varying depths until we finally hooked a catch. True to the durability of MAD KATZ rods, which flex but never snap, we mirrored their resilience, refusing to succumb to the elements.
